I want to know how many DWI arrests happened in a small-medium sized city in Upstate New York. There are four police agencies – city, county and 2 nearby universities. My question is should I bother looking at NYS Police as well? Would they patrol in the city, or is there little to no chance of them booking a DWI in the city over one of the four other agencies? My gut feeling is that they stick to the highways (which I am not concerned with) and only assist in serious matters. Any help is appreciated.
I only ask because the records for the 4 agencies are readily accessible online, and the NYS police ones are not
You are correct the state police mostly stick to the highways but if they are off the highway (say on a meal break) and see a car driving erratically they can and do pull them over for a possible DUI stop but those would be small in number compared to the dui stops/arrests they make on the highway. If you search time period includes a holiday (like new years eve) you may want to try and obtain the information because those are the times when enforcement is stepped up and multi agency DUI task forces are sometimes utilized and state police may be used on the local streets.
Bankruptcy Lawyer I am going to see a bankruptcy lawyer tomorrow, what questions should I ask?
I was just laid off for the second time in two years. The last lay off lasted 6 months and burnt through all our savings and equity in the house. We were living paycheck to paycheck with the last job.
My wife and I are fine with losing the house but I want to know if there are any questions I should have that I haven’t thought of yet.
You can go to google.com and type in legalhelpers.
The lawyer will probably tell you what you need to know and its possible to keep your house even with you being behind. He will want to know your assets, how much money you both made in the last 6 months so bring your last paycheck stubs to show him. He will figure out the formula for you with income guidelines for your state. If you have to file then go for it. It’s a legal law that gives everyone the opportunity to start over so good luck

I was charged with a first offense DWI and careless operation in 2009. Finally, the case was dismissed this week. Besides my insurance company, who else do I need to provide with the certified court letter saying that there was no conviction of these charges?

I am a young college student and I need some legal advice. I need some serious advice. I have no money and I just want to know if the people trying to sue me have a case or not. Does anyone know of a place I can go or a number I could call to get help with this. I’m in the Northern California area if that helps.
You might see if your campus has an attorney on staff who would be able to answer this kind of question. Otherwise, you could contact Legal Aid of Northern California
http://www.lsnc.info/
or Volunteer Legal Services of Northern California

If these are not the correct agencies to help, they can steer you to the right place.
