I was 29 when I was on my own for the first time after my divorce (and I had a two year old girl is counting on me). I know exactly what you mean .. There is a bit of a learning curve .. but it's really hard to describe how proud you are of their independence, and when you know you're doing well. It's like anything else .. a little scary the first time you try .. but a feeling of accomplishment when you have successfully done!
