If they are married and divorced in the United States to Mexico, is legally divorced in the U.S.?

U.S. Citizen Married ago years in Nevada, a Mexican citizen, has lived for years in Mexico and Mexico are divorcing. Does the U.S. citizen to file divorce papers in Mexico Court of Nevada? Or California, where he has a bank account?

I may be wrong but I think it would have to ask Divorce in the United States from they were married in the United States. The nationality of the spouses has nothing to do with it. Like some other marriages countries are not considered legal marriages here in the United States. I would not assume this will liaise with the local court to be sure … think certainly not that you divorce, then discover that you do not!
